About Me
I am a person of many interests! I had no idea what I wanted to study in college. When I came to Michigan State University in the fall of 2019, I was on a dual degree track for a B.S. in physics and a B.F.A. in studio art. After learning that that track would take me nearly seven years to complete and feeling like neither path was my passion, I bounced around many majors. I jumped from physics to computer science, to mathematics, to education, to neuroscience, to nursing, back to math, and then to experience architecture. While my path was certainly not linear, I’m happy that I have been able to wear many hats and have a variety of experiences.
I am passionate about designing for good and making all designs accessible to all. This all starts with a thorough research process. I feel strongly that design decisions should be tested and backed by data from real people. I believe there is immense power behind knowing who you’re designing for and further how your designs can help people. The more research you have, the better informed your designs will be.
I take an interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of math, research, and design to create equitable solutions for all. I find the field of quantitative UX research fascinating but ultimately consider myself a mixed-methods researcher.
I believe in being the representation you want to see in the world. I am proudly neurodivergent and part of the LGBTQ+ community. I am a strong advocate and supporter of equity and equality for all.

What I do when I'm not working
I love being outside and around animals. I grew up riding horses competitively and still love the sport and the bonds I create with the animals. It allows me to be active, outdoors, social, and around animals- it’s all things therapeutic. I enjoy hiking and being outside, swimming, and picnicking with friends. I love going to concerts and frequently go to punk or metal shows. I am a coffee fanatic and am always down to meet up for a warm drink and a little snack! I love my two cats, Steven (big grey cat) and Ham Samuel (siamese kitty), like they’re my own children.
